7/22 TK/K 11 or 5 p.m. LE/UE 3 or 6 p.m.	Classroom Orientation Part 1	Welcome to your child’s classroom community!  Community development with information regarding your child’s experience as a student this year and how to ensure Montessori in distance learning!
7/29 TK/K 11 or 5 p.m. LE/UE 3 or 6 p.m.	​Classroom Orientation Part 2	Orientation continues with specifics for your child’s developmental level and supporting students with classroom expectations.

8/6 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Montessori at Home	Overview of how to prepare your home environment developmentally for your child. Concepts: Isolation of difficulty, repetition, control of movement, engagement/concentration.
8/13 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Managing Distance Learning	Review and clarifications about elements of the school’s Distance Learning plan. Plenty of time for questions from families.
8/20 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Fostering Independence	Presentation of independence as a critical element of the Montessori method and the importance of maintaining this at home. Specific examples of how to foster independence during DL.
8/27 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Working with your Emerging Reader	The skills of learning to read and an example (done by someone with a child at home?) of what reading with your child looks like.
9/3 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Concrete to Abstract	How materials, especially, Sensorial/Geometry/Math curriculum are based on this idea. Ideas of how to support some hands-on elements during DL
9/10 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Supporting the Emotional Life of your Child During the Pandemic	Discussion through the lens of the Planes of Development with examples of what families may be seeing/experiencing during the pandemic and how to respond.
9/17 6:30 – 7 p.m.	The Role of Technology	Clear understanding of technology and its role in Montessori education. This could be an opportunity to offer guidance around screen time during this time
10/15 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Spoken Language	Sharing of oral language games and activities as well as the importance of building spoken language as a foundation for literacy and communication.
10/22 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Freedom and Responsibility	Exploring the inter-relationship between these two concepts and the importance of balance. Discussion about how that relates to expectations during DL.
10/29 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Montessori Math	Unlocking the mystery and magic of the hands-on materials and why it is important not to jump to abstraction.
11/5 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Leading Children	Demonstrating balanced leadership while fostering the independence of the child.
11/12 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Montessori Cultural Curriculum	Inspiration, example, and invitation for children to love their world and see their part in it!
11/19 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Following Directions	Communicating with children- listening, expressing, and verbal/nonverbal skill development.
12/3 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Practical Life at all Levels	Valuing responsibility through capability, contribution, competence, and confidence.
12/10 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Peace & Benevolence ​	Montessori Grace & Courtesy curriculum for care of self, others, and the environment.
12/17 6:30 – 7 p.m.	Portrait of a Montessori Graduate	Academics, leadership, work ethic, self-awareness, purpose, motivation, creativity, interpersonal skills,  time management, global perspective, service-mindedness, and more.
