Major Annual Events

The Foundation relies on a handful of major events each year to make significant progress toward our fundraising goals for River and raise awareness of the school in the community.

We're grateful to the parent volunteers who make these events happen! Roles large and small of all types are available. Have an idea? Want to get involved? Sign up online, come to a Foundation meeting or email [email protected].

BACK TO SCHOOL SOCIAL
Come meet new friends or catch up with old ones while the kiddos enjoy free games and activities at the school. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

RMF GALA 
A night out for the grownups, and THE big event for supporting our school! Join us for dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, and a whole lot of fun. Have a great idea for an auction item? Let us know at [email protected].

CREATOR FAIRE
Bring the kiddos and watch them work at this wonderfully unique hands-on art and science event held at the school. Come early and plan to stay for the day as your children use their minds and their creativity to build, destroy and create as they stretch their minds at this fantastic event. Pay what you can for admission - and invite your friends! This event is open to the public.

WALK-A-THON
Students collect pledges in advance and walk laps around the school to raise funds, as parents, guides, and staff cheer them on! T-shirt sales, sponsorships, and lunch sales prior to the event add to the proceeds raised by this fun event.

FAMILY DINNER & MOVIE NIGHT
​A fan favorite, Family Dinner & Movie Night is an outdoor event with fun and treats for all ages.

Community Fundraising Activities

In addition to our major events, the RMF organizes community events and fundraising drives throughout the year. They include:

DINE AND DONATE DATES
Opt for an easy dinner solution or a night out on the town and benefit River! We collaborate with local businesses who are willing to donate a portion of proceeds to the school. Check back for 2024-2025 dates and if you have ideas for restaurants or businesses to partner with, get in touch!
