Saturday, January 28 - 12-4pm We look forward to reviving this beloved community event, featuring dozens of hands-on art and science activities. Major Annual Events
The Foundation relies on a handful of major events each year to make significant progress toward our fundraising goals for River and raise awareness of the school in the community.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL PICNIC
This event is typically held on a weekend day in late July or early August. Come meet new friends or catch up with old ones and enjoy a meal together.
RIVER GALA
The Gala is our biggest fundraiser, helping RMF to achieve their fundraising goals set by the school to support assistants in every class. Delicious food and drink, music, and plenty of silent auction items to peruse before the main event - the Live Auction. In 2023-2024, the event is slated for August.
CREATOR FAIRE
Bring the kiddos and watch them work at this wonderfully unique hands-on art and science event held at the school in January. Come early and plan to stay for the day as your children use their minds and their creativity to build, destroy and create as they stretch their minds at this fantastic event. Cost of admission is minimal, invite your friends.
WALK-A-THON
On a Friday afternoon in February, students collect pledges in advance and walk laps around the school to raise funds, as parents, guides, and staff cheer them on! T-shirt sales, sponsorships, and lunch sales prior to the event add to the proceeds raised by this fun event.
Other events, including Touch-a-Truck, Rock for River, International Day of Peace Celebration, International Family Festival, Upper El Sustainable Business Fair and others, are put on by RMCS (the school) and while supported by RMF members, are not run by RMF (the Foundation).
