Regular meetings of the RMCS Governing Board of Directors are held on a monthly basis in the RMCS Conference Room, 3880 Cypress Drive, Suite B, Petaluma, CA, 94954.

Agendas for all public meetings are posted on the RMCS campus in the front window and in information display case adjacent to the Community Information Center in school administration.
Community participation is a vital component of River Montessori Charter School. We hope and encourage your attendance and participation in board meetings often. Meeting guidelines are provided to assist you in participating and/or speaking at any of our meetings.

Application for Director Position, RMCS Governing Board of Directors
Thank you for your interest in providing public choice and Montessori Pedagogy in public education! The RMCS Board of Directors consists of both parents (three-year term) and community members (two-year term). Please insert your responses into the following document then return the updated document via e-mail to the following addresses. All applicants are required to attend at least one Board meeting prior to submitting an application and will be interviewed upon receipt of application. We appreciate your time and interest in serving and supporting River Montessori Charter School.
If you are considering running for the parent position, please note that elections are held in September for parent members. In addition to the following questionnaire, please attach a brief bio and information about your skills and qualifications (1 to 3 paragraphs) which will be included on the ballot as information for RMCS parents. Results are announced at the Annual Governing Board of Directors' meeting in October.

RMCS BOARD OF DIRECTORS JOB DESCRIPTION
- Uphold the Mission and Vision of RMCS
- Attend regular and special meetings of the RMCS Board of Directors (BOD), which are each approximately two to three hours in duration. Be accessible and available for tasks, committee work, and personal contact in between board meetings.
- Understand and embrace the BOD Code of Ethics, Commitment Pledge, and Job Description.
- Provide leadership by serving on a BOD committee. Each Director is expected to serve as an active, ongoing member of at least one committee.
- Participate in the fund-raising activities of the school.
- Prepare prior to board meetings by reviewing materials regarding BOD work and key actions the BOD is expected to take at the next meeting.
- Participate in the annual BOD development and planning retreat.
