Participate | Volunteer | Contribute
Knowing that every member has something unique and special to contribute to the whole, participation is key to the implementation of Montessori philosophy and to the sucess of RMCS. The role of the adult in a Montessori classroom is to prepare the environment and quietly and subtly support the child in his or her individual interactions within the environment. In the larger context of our school community, families and affiliated community members volunteer in many different capacities and contribute financially to support the school and to create a thriving community at RMCS.
Participation has so many possibilities at River Montessori Charter School! We invite you to…
Ask if you have a question — we are all glad to help!
Volunteering provides essential support for the school on many levels, and exemplifies for the children our philosophy that everyone has something individual and important to contribute. With numerous opportunities to help in the classroom, at events, or from home, we are continually inspired and grateful for the generosity of our volunteers and the extent to which their efforts benefit the children, faculty, our facility, and the overall success of our school. Please contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or visit the Foundation's page for current RMF volunteer needs.

The parent-run River Montessori Foundation provides tremendous financial support for RMCS through its Annual Fund as well as through other events and programs. As a publicly funded school, we rely on consistent financial support from our families and community members to offset fluctuations in state revenues. Please consider supporting RMCS through a one-time or monthly pledge to our Annual Fund. You can also help by shopping in the community, by volunteering your time and talents (and, where possible, your in-kind services and goods), and by attending one of our many events.
