The River Montessori Foundation
The board of directors of the River Montessori Foundation (RMF) welcomes you to our school community!
What is the RMF?
The Foundation, or RMF, is a parent-led volunteer organization and a 501(c)3 charity. Our purpose is to raise funds to support the school's ongoing programs, build a supportive community of families, and raise awareness of Montessori in the greater community.

Who is the RMF?
Every family at River is part of the Foundation! We need your help to organize FUN-draising events and other activities. Join us as one of our monthly board meetings to find out how you can be involved. In 2023-2024 meetings are scheduled for the first Friday of the month after carline dropoff. Virtual attendance is also available, and if you can't make the meetings, there are still plenty of ways to be involved! |

Why raise money?
As a public independent charter school, we need extra support to provide the unique, enriching programs that likely drew you to River. We do not receive the same public funding as regular public schools, even as we're mandated to provide some programs (such as free school lunches) that all public schools offer. Funds raised help cover regular operating expenses and the costs of staffing our classrooms with full-time assistants.
Our fundraising goal for 2023-2024 is $100,000.
How to get there?
Each year we accomplish this ambitious goal through direct donations, grants, RMF-sponsored events, and other activities.
These events also offer us the opportunity for family fun and to get to know other parents in the River community.
