Family Resources & Support
During the COVID-19 Pandemic
What we are collectively experiencing is so incredibly hard. It is a challenging and stressful time for parents and even harder and more confusing for our children. Please know that we will continue do our best to support you during these difficult times. We recognize that many of you are trying to work from home while also taking care of your children. We've found a few gems that we think will be helpful, while still holding onto the Montessori principals that we appreciate so much!

Social Emotional & Mental Health
NEW! From SCOE & RCU~ Mental Health Resources for Students TK-12
We have all experienced many challenges this past year, and our social, emotional, and mental health has been put to the test. As you well know, the children in our community have additional stressors adapting to remote learning and being distanced from friends. And children can be especially susceptible to emotional issues during times of high stress, without the necessary tools to manage through.
RCU has partnered with social/emotional learning expert and author of Confident Parents, Confident Kids Jennifer Miller, M.Ed, to create some free videos for children grades TK-8. These videos are designed to help children and their respective support networks understand their emotions so they can make positive choices. For high school students, RCU has partnered with NAMI Sonoma County to create a free video designed to help youth and their support networks understand their emotions so they can make positive choices.
Each video is tailored to a specific age group, noted below. Spanish language subtitles are available on all videos.
